The legal fight involving Stefon Diggs has taken a sharper turn, with fresh court filings shifting focus from allegations to evidence. At the center now is a demand for transparency. Christopher Blake Griffith, the social media personality who accused Diggs of sexual assault, is asking a judge to force the NFL star to hand over financial records. The move, detailed in newly surfaced documents, suggests the dispute is no longer just about claims and denials. It is about whether either side can prove real damage in a case that has steadily grown more complicated.

Why is Stefon Diggs being asked to reveal financial records now?

Christopher Blake Griffith’s latest motion aims directly at Stefon Diggs’ defamation lawsuit. Diggs had sued him in November, arguing the allegations were fabricated for attention and caused serious harm to his reputation. Now Griffith wants proof. His legal team argues that if Diggs claims reputational and financial damage, he must show it clearly in court.According to the filing, Griffith believes Diggs is resisting that process. His attorney put it bluntly, saying Diggs “does not get to sue and hide.” The motion to compel is designed to test whether Diggs’ claims of harm hold up under scrutiny or fall apart without supporting records.Griffith also alleges the lawsuit itself is being used to silence him. In the same filing, he claims Diggs is trying to “obstruct any discovery that would test his claims,” adding that the wide receiver “can’t have it both ways.” Diggs has not responded publicly to these latest developments, continuing a pattern of staying quiet as the case unfolds.

What are the core allegations and how have they escalated?

The dispute traces back to Griffith’s account of a May 2023 encounter at Diggs’ Maryland home. He alleges Diggs offered him “candy” that was actually a drug, followed by unwanted advances. Griffith described the incident in detail during an interview, claiming, “He attempted to have me unalive because of him making a sexual pass at me. It wasn’t the sexual pass that frustrated me, what frustrated me the most was he tried to unalive me after it…”He further alleged inappropriate behavior, including exposure and physical contact, though no formal criminal complaint was filed over the incident. Diggs has firmly denied all accusations, maintaining that the interaction ended without issue. The conflict widened in October 2024 when Griffith filed a separate claim against Diggs’ brother, Darez Diggs, accusing him of an elevator attack meant to silence him. Around the same time, Diggs moved forward with his defamation suit, insisting the allegations were knowingly false and driven by a search for online attention.Public voices have only added to the noise. Cardi B came out strongly in Diggs’ defense, posting, “Chris lied because he was stealing and got caught.. there’s receipts for that. He lied on Gervonta Davis too and changed the story 1000 times.” The post intensified attention but did little to clarify the legal stakes. For now, the case sits at a critical stage. The court must decide whether Diggs will be required to open his financial records, a step that could shape how both sides argue credibility and damages going forward.
