Subeesh Sudhi on double suicide attempt after 'Oru Sarkar Ulpannam' failure, pens emotional note: 'My house is under seizure'‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ failure‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ failed to perform well commercially even after receiving good reviews. Subbeesh Sudhi explained that this unexpected outcome led to increasing debt. He has been trying to repay these liabilities but has not succeeded so far. As a result, the government has seized his house. Subbeesh Sudhi further disclosed that individuals who financed the film have filed legal cases against him. These cases have now escalated into a warrant, putting him at risk of arrest at any time.He wrote, “Only calls I receive now are from people asking for money. Those who were with me during my good times don’t even answer my calls anymore. Unable to hold on, I even attempted suicide twice. Even God doesn’t want me.”Subeesh Sudhi’s emotional noteIn his detailed Facebook post, Subeesh Sudhi opened up about the struggles surrounding the film and its aftermath. He shared, “I am making this post as I am in a situation where I cannot move forward in life despite chasing big dreams. I came as a junior artist and acted in around 80 films. I became the lead actor in a film called Bharata Sarkar Utpadanam, which was produced by me and my friends. It was released on March 8, 2024, at a time when Premalu and Manjummel Boys were running to packed theatres. Then it was also the fasting season and exam time. Even in such unfavorable conditions, those who watched the film said good things about it. All reviewers said it was a good film. The Times of India gave it 4 out of 5 stars.”Even problems before ‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ releaseSubeesh Sudhi added, “Unfortunately, due to my bad luck, the film did not succeed financially. There were problems even before the film’s release. The censor board removed ‘Bharat’ from the film’s title. Two days before release, the scriptwriter Nizam passed away. Later, I went to Mumbai to sell the film, but some agents cheated me after taking money. Nothing worked out. I tried my best to earn money honestly and repay the debts of this film. That too did not work, and I am going through a very difficult phase.”“My house is under seizure. Those who funded the film have filed cases against me. It has now turned into a warrant, and I could be jailed at any time. Now I receive only calls from people asking for money. Those who were with me in my good times don’t even answer my calls anymore. I get around 40 calls a day from creditors.”The actor further wrote, “Unable to hold on, I even attempted suicide twice. Even God doesn’t want me. Before attempting suicide, I had sent messages to two or three friends. One of them informed the Kochi City Police Deputy Commissioner, and I was called there. Ashwathi madam understood my situation directly and comforted me, saying that someone will surely help you and that you should move forward in life with courage. Satheesh ettan and Varkichan, who tried to bring this good film to theatres, are also in financial difficulty. The producers of my film are also in a similar situation. I am in a condition where I cannot move even one step forward. I don’t know what to do or whether anyone will help, but I still have hope. Kerala, which has written heroic stories of survival, must stand with me. Please don’t abandon me. There should be compassion.”Meanwhile, ‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ also featured actors Shelly Kishore, Gouri G Kishan, Aju Varghese, and Lal Jose in pivotal roles.
