Bengaluru: TCS CEO K Krithivasan said the company has constituted an oversight committee chaired by independent director Keki Mistry to review the ongoing investigation into the Nashik incident, which has come under scrutiny over allegations of sexual harassment and religious coercion. The company has also engaged expert teams from Deloitte and legal counsel Trilegal as independent advisors to the internal probe led by president and COO Aarthi Subramanian. The investigation’s findings will be presented to the oversight committee for review and implementation of any recommendations.TCS also clarified certain claims. “Ms. Nida Khan, who is repeatedly mentioned in the press as HR manager of TCS, is neither an HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. She served as a process associate and held no leadership responsibilities,” the statement said. The company added that its Nashik unit continues to operate normally and dismissed reports of a shutdown as entirely untrue. It further said that while detailed reviews are ongoing, a preliminary examination of systems and records has not revealed any complaints of the alleged nature through its ethics or POSH channels.TCS said it acted swiftly upon learning of the Nashik matter, adding that the employees under investigation have been suspended pending inquiry.“TCS holds itself to the highest standards of employee welfare and institutional conduct. We remain fully committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every employee. As we have stated before, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct,” the company said, adding that it will continue to support employees and ensure a safe workplace across locations. The company also said it will extend full cooperation to law enforcement agencies to ensure the matter is investigated thoroughly, transparently, and brought to a rightful conclusion.Earlier this week, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said the complaints and allegations emerging from the TCS Nashik branch are “gravely concerning and distressing.” He added that the incident is being treated with the utmost seriousness, with action already initiated against the accused employees and full cooperation extended to ongoing investigations.
