Patna: Extensive traffic restrictions will be in place in Patna on Monday for BJP’s “Aakrosh March” against the opposition for not supporting the Constitution Amendment Bill seeking 33% reservation for women in Parliament and legislative assemblies. Participants from across Bihar are expected to arrive in large and small vehicles. To manage congestion, a special traffic plan around Gandhi Maidan will remain in force from 6am till the end of the programme.BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi said the march aims to seek answers from opposition leaders over alleged hurdles in passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in Parliament. He said all preparations have been completed with a stage set up at Gandhi Maidan. CM Samrat Choudhary and senior NDA leaders are expected to address the gathering.Under the plan, all commercial vehicles, including autos and e-rickshaws, are barred around Gandhi Maidan. Vehicles from Danapur via Rajapur Pul will be diverted at the Police Line tri-junction. Those coming from Gaighat via Ashok Rajpath will be rerouted through Kunkun Singh Lane near Krishna Ghat. Autos and e-rickshaws on Exhibition Road will not be allowed beyond Bhattacharya crossing towards North Gandhi Maidan.Vehicles from SP Verma Road must turn back at Swaminandan tri-junction via Bata Mor. Auto and e-rickshaw movement is prohibited on TN Banerjee Path from Budh Marg/Chhajjubagh and on Budh Marg between Kotwali and Police Line tri-junction. Similar curbs apply from Police Line Gate No. 0-01 to Bank Road. Vehicles from Machhua Toli can ply only up to Thakur Bari Mor.
