Where do we even start with this one? Tyreek Hill, a former Miami Dolphins wide receiver, one of the fastest men to ever play football, and apparently a man with a lot going on off the field, is now sitting in a Broward County courtroom facing a civil lawsuit from social media influencer and plus-size model Sophie Hall. And the details? Absolutely unrealistic from start to finish.
Tyreek Hill sued for breaking a woman’s leg — Here’s what happened
Sophie Hall didn’t go looking for Tyreek Hill. She bought a ticket for her son to attend his football camp in May 2023. That’s it. That’s all she did. Somehow, that led to Hill sliding into her DMs on Instagram and not subtly either. He reportedly told her, “I’ve been known to be a good stepdad.” The man then arranged her flights, her travel, everything, and invited her to spend time at his Southwest Ranches mansion in Florida. What could go wrong, right?About 11 days after the camp, Hall arrived at Hill’s home. Things were normal until they weren’t. Hall joined Hill for some backyard football drills. On one play, she pushed Hill backward, and his mother, sister, trainer and friend all laughed. According to the lawsuit, Hill became enraged and embarrassed. And on a subsequent play, he allegedly charged into her with crushing force, fracturing her right leg so badly she needed surgery with metal hardware implanted. She says she still attends weekly physical therapy to this day. Hill’s version? She tripped over his dog. His dog is named Chapo. That is a real sentence that was said in a legal proceeding.
“A little foreplay-ish” — Tyreek Hill’s deposition just made his court case so much worse
This is where it gets truly wild. In his videotaped deposition, Hill was asked about the events leading up to Hall’s injury and made a grasping motion with his arms. When asked to clarify, he admitted he reached out and touched Hall’s breasts, describing it as getting underneath an opponent’s shoulder pads and called it “a little foreplay-ish.” He also admitted he’d viewed “plenty” of Hall’s content before messaging her and described his attraction to tall women in detail. All of this. Under oath. On camera.
What both sides are desperately trying to hide from the jury
And here’s where the courtroom chess match gets interesting. Hall’s lawyers are trying to block any mention of her OnlyFans, her content, her sexual history, and the fact that, as Hall herself admitted in her own deposition, she and Hill had sex the night of the injury and again the next day. His argument? None of that is relevant to whether Hill broke her leg. Hill’s lawyers on the other hand are trying to block Hall’s side from bringing up his past controversies involving women and any suggestion of a pattern of violent behavior. So basically both sides are standing in front of the jury going “please don’t look at that thing over there.” The jury is looking at everything.
Where things stand right now
The trial officially kicked off this week with six jurors selected from a pool of nearly 100. Opening statements have begun and the whole thing is estimated to last two weeks. Hill, who was released by the Dolphins in February 2026 and is currently a free agent recovering from a torn ACL, is sitting in court in a white shirt, looking serious. Hall is seeking damages between $50,000 and $75,000. This is a civil case, not criminal, so no jail time is on the table. But his reputation? That’s a whole different story.
