After becoming a pan-India giant with the ‘KGF’ franchise, Rocking Star Yash is preparing for the release of the upcoming gangster action drama ‘Toxic’ to a global release. Now, as per the latest reports, the actor recently flew to Las Vegas to attend CinemaCon with director Geetu Mohandas to promote the film.
First phase of international promotions begins
According to a report by Mid-day, Yash will be spending over a week in the United States as he begins the first phase of promotions for ‘Toxic’. This is said to be seen as a strategic move to introduce the film to international markets early in its promotions, with the film set to hit the screens on June 4, 2026.
Big plans for CinemaCon showcase
It is also suggested that the makers are planning to unveil the early footage and promotional material at CinemaCon. As the platform is known for helping films secure worldwide visibility this can be a good move for the makers to show the global distributors and exhibitors a glimpse into the film’s tone and scale.Interestingly, ‘Toxic’ isn’t the only big-ticket Indian film. Yash has another big project, which is set to hit the screens this year, is ‘Ramayana.’ Ramayana is also expected to showcase its material, with both films reportedly mounted on a grand scale.
About ‘Toxic’
Speaking about ‘Toxic’, it is a gangster action drama which is set in Goa and spans from the early 1940s to the 1970s. It is co-written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas. It has a strong cast including NayantharaHuma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
‘Toxic’ release plans
Earlier, the film was set to hit the big screens on March 19, clashing with ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. However, the makers announced that the movie will be released on June 4, 2026. Explaining the reason behind the delay, they shared that it is due to the uncertainty in the Middle East, which has affected their release plans, with the region being an important market. Hence, the makers decided to postpone the release.The movie is shot simultaneously in English and Kannada and will also be available in multiple languages.
