South Point High School, in association with the South Point Ex-Students’ Association (ASPEXS), hosted another engaging edition of its “Pointer Connect: Guest Speaker Session” at the school’s seminar hall, where students of Classes XI and XII Commerce interacted with distinguished alumnus Sriram Mahadevan.

A member of the Madhyamik Batch of 1986, Mahadevan returned to his alma mater to share experiences from his professional journey spanning more than three decades. Addressing the students, he spoke about leadership, business development, strategic growth and the importance of adaptability in an ever-evolving corporate landscape. The interactive session gave students an opportunity to connect classroom learning with practical industry insights. Mahadevan also reflected on his days at the school and shared how continuous learning, discipline and openness to diverse experiences helped shape his career path. Encouraging students to remain curious and resilient, he highlighted the value of making informed career choices while staying grounded in strong personal and professional ethics.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome back one of our own to inspire the next generation of students. Hearing directly from someone who once sat in these very classrooms makes the aspirations of our students feel far more real and achievable,” said Meghnath Roy Chowdhury, Hony. Secretary of ASPEXS.
