Agra: : A gang of masked criminals broke into a house in Prakash Nagar’s Nagla Chhidami locality under Etmadaullah police station limits early Saturday, cutting through the roof and fleeing with around 30 kg of silver and other valuables.As per the family of Ramdutt Agrawal, who runs a small chain-manufacturing unit from his residence where silver is processed into jewellery, six miscreants entered the house by breaching the concrete roof and later opened the main gate to let in four more accomplices, suggesting the involvement of at least 10 people. The gang allegedly decamped with the silver and other materials linked to the unit.Local residents raised concerns over the effectiveness of night patrolling in the area following the incident.“A case has been registered under sections 331 (robbery) and 305 (theft) of the BNS, and teams have been formed to trace the culprits,” said ACP Shemany Upadhyay.
