Charles Leclerc may not have left the Miami Grand Prix with a podium finish, but the Ferrari star still had a major reason to celebrate this week after officially taking delivery of a bespoke Riva superyacht reportedly worth around $20 million (£15 million). The Monégasque driver attended a private ceremony alongside his wife, Alexandra, at Riva’s La Spezia shipyard in Italy on May 7 to unveil the customized Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, a 31-metre (102-foot) luxury yacht that has reportedly been named “Sedici,” the Italian word for sixteen and a tribute to Leclerc’s Formula One racing number. The launch quickly went viral online after footage shared by Riva showed Alexandra carrying out the traditional champagne bottle ceremony by smashing it against the bow of the yacht. At the time of writing, the video had already amassed more than 90,000 likes and over 1.1 million views across social media platforms.
Ferrari star continues long relationship with Riva
This is not Leclerc’s first yacht from the Ferretti Group-owned luxury brand. The Ferrari driver has previously taken delivery of the 48 Dolceriva Monza and the 82 Diva Sedici, underlining his long-standing relationship with Riva, which also serves as an official sponsor and partner of Ferrari’s Formula One team. The Riva logo regularly appears on Leclerc’s race car and helmet during F1 weekends. In a statement released following the delivery ceremony, Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi praised Leclerc’s relationship with the company. “Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy,” Galassi said. “If such a formidable driver and icon of style and elegance chooses once again one of our boats, it means that Riva, and in this case the magnificent 102′ Corsaro Super, offers unrivaled standards of beauty, liveability and technology. “Many thanks once again Charles, have fun and enjoy the water on your new Riva!”
Inside Leclerc’s customized “Sedici”
Originally unveiled in 2021, the Riva 102 Corsaro Super was developed as a larger and more luxurious evolution of the popular 100 Corsaro model. Leclerc’s yacht is reportedly the 20th unit produced since the first launch in 2022. Designed in collaboration with long-time Riva partner Officina Italiana Design, the semi-custom yacht features an aggressive, sporty silhouette combined with expansive glazing and contemporary styling throughout.

Leclerc personally customized several aspects of the vessel to reflect his own taste. The exterior features pieces from Italian luxury furniture brand Minotti alongside cushions created by Thai silk specialist Jim Thompson, while the flybridge was redesigned to include a bespoke open-air galley complete with an oversized grill, induction hob, two refrigerators and an ice maker. The yacht also includes a 35-square-metre beach club with direct access to the sea and a customized hauling ramp for launching and recovering water toys. Inside, the vessel is fitted with Poliform furniture, Christofle tableware, Frette luxury bedding and linens, and a specially designed Bang & Olufsen multimedia sound system. Leclerc also selected several personalized details himself, including bespoke door handles and elegant Corian Calacatta Greige acrylic finishes throughout the yacht. The master suite is finished with polished Calacatta Vagli Oro marble and an adjoining en suite bathroom designed to match the yacht’s modern luxury aesthetic.
Performance still matters for the Ferrari driver
Despite its focus on luxury, the 102 Corsaro Super is still built with serious performance credentials. The yacht is powered by twin 2,638-horsepower MTU engines capable of producing a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots, while also featuring advanced stabilization technology for smoother travel on the water.

While it may not match the outright speed of Leclerc’s Ferrari Formula One car, the yacht still reflects the same blend of engineering, style and performance associated with the 27-year-old driver. Leclerc’s new vessel arrives just days after a frustrating Miami Grand Prix weekend in which the Ferrari driver slipped from potential podium contention to an eighth-place finish following a late-race incident and post-race penalty.
