Reigning World University Games champion Jadhav, who recorded his personal best of 711 in the ranking round to be seeded eighth, put up good challenge against his higher-ranked archers. However, he missed a final berth by falling short by just one point (146-147) against world No. 3 Nicolas Girard of France in the last-four clash. However, he made amendments against 40-year-old Damsbo in his next match.
