Gurgaon: YouTuber Elvish Yadav has allegedly received extortion threats. According to sources, the sender claimed to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.According to the family, a WhatsApp call was first made from a foreign number, but it was not answered. Shortly after, threatening messages demanding Rs 10 crore were allegedly sent to both Yadav and his father.While Ramavtar — the father of the Bigg Boss OTT-2 winner — confirmed the incident to TOI on Sunday and said “the family is concerned”, police denied that any such complaint was filed. “There was no such incident. No case was registered,” a police officer said.speaking to TOI, Ramavtar said the family received the messages on May 5, after which they approached police. “We lodged a complaint. It is up to the police to look into the matter,” he said.Ramavtar said the family has been “living in fear”. “Now police will look if the number is from a foreign land or if any other services were used to mask the number. We are scared for our child. I hope no parent has to go through this,” he said. He added that police officials have also recorded their statements.The “threat” has surfaced months after armed attackers opened fire outside Yadav’s residence. On Aug 17 last year, around two dozen rounds were fired by motorcycle-borne assailants. Haryana Police and Delhi Police had arrested multiple accused, including Ishant, Jatin, Gaurav and Aditya.
