Marking Mother’s Day with a meaningful health awareness initiative, a city hospital organized a special panel discussion focusing on cancer prevention, early detection and the importance of regular health screenings for women. The initiative highlighted an important reality — women, while caring for everyone around them, often neglect their own health. Through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions, the program encouraged women to recognize early warning signs, seek timely medical advice and make preventive screenings a regular part of life.

Adding a unique dimension to the event, six comprehensive health profiles covering the heart, liver, kidney, lungs, uterus and brain were presented through engaging demonstrations, helping simplify medical awareness for families.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rupali Basu said that awareness and timely action can significantly improve outcomes, adding that subtle symptoms linked to serious illnesses are often ignored. Experts at the discussion also stressed the importance of routine screenings and consultations, especially for cancers that remain silent in their early stages.By aligning the initiative with Mother’s Day, the program delivered a strong message — caring for loved ones begins with caring for oneself.
